Liverpool fear Daniel Sturridge is facing another month on the sidelines with injury.

England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed the Liverpool striker has suffered a muscle tear in his hip.

Sturridge has already missed five months of the season through injury and could be out for around a month.

"I'm disappointed for Daniel because he didn't really feel that it was any problem," said Hodgson. "When he did the scan he was devastated as he didn't want to leave. He has a slight tear and you can't play through that."
