Liverpool are closing in on Inter Milan fullback Davide Santon.

Santon's agent, Renzo Contratto, has confirmed talks are planned with several English clubs in the next week as the defender seeks a Premier League move.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal have also been sounded out about their interest in the 19 year-old.

But Liverpool will have the inside running thanks to manager Roy Hodgson's close ties with Inter.
