Defender Dejan Lovren believes he has finally been able to win over the Liverpool supporters.
Lovren had been a major disappointment at Liverpool since his £20million move from Southampton last season but the defender has enjoyed an upturn in fortunes over the past few months, coinciding with the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager of the Reds.
Now Lovren has gone on to reveal that Liverpool fans are finally realising his worth and thanked Klopp for bringing about an improvement in his performances.
"I think that they are now starting to realise that I am worthy, and they regret that they initially had a different opinion," Lovren told Croatian newspaper Sportske.
"But Liverpool is a big club, and expectations are high, so it is normal that you are going to be criticised.
"I needed someone like Klopp to push me, and to give me support. For such a man, I'm always ready to fight to the end, and for the team and the club."
