Liverpool fans are in a rage after the plans for a potential Champions League victory celebration have been revealed.
Should the Reds be crowned European champions on May 26, the victory parade in Liverpool will be organised one day later – on May 27, which means the supporters that will travel to Kiev will have no time to get back for it.
The disastrous travel route to Kiev for local Reds fans - with no direct flights available to Ukraine from Liverpool - means it will be impossible for supporters to attend the parade.
"The club requested the parade takes place on the Sunday, and even though it's already a busy day for the city, we want to make sure we are ready to give them the heroes' welcome they deserve should they win," said Mayor of LiverpoolJoe Anderson.
"I understand there will be disappointment for those fans who are unable to get back from Kiev in time, but it was a similar situation in 2005 and we have to be guided by the club in terms of the date and time."
