Liverpool won't get a clear run at MK Dons winger Dele Alli.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to swoop for the England youth international in January.
The Daily Mail says Newcastle are maintaining an interest in Alli, who has been the subject of enquiries from Liverpool and Brentford also.
Liverpool remain favourites for the winger, with plans to loan him back to MK Dons for the remainder of the season favoured at stadium:mk.
