Liverpool face competition from Marseille for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Diego Capel.
The Mirror says Spain international Capel, 25, looks likely to move on in the summer, with the rebuilding Reds eyeing a player rated at around £10million by his cash-strapped Portuguese club.
Capel is in his second season at Sporting.
