Liverpool are interested in Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo.

The Daily Express says Parejo started the season on the bench at the Spanish side but has played his way into the starting line-up under new coach Juan Antonio Pizzi.

And the 24-year-old's rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

Reports in Spain suggest that Rodgers was particularly impressed with Parejo's role in Valencia's 3-2 victory over Barcelona at the Camp Nou earlier this month.
