Liverpool are eyeing Benfica striker Raul Jimenez to boost their firepower.

A Bola says the Reds are in the hunt for highly rated Benfica hitman Raul, a deal that could spell the end for Daniel Sturridge.

Any possible deal for the Mexican striker could be problematic this month, however according to reports in Portugal, a big money move could be on the cards as Jurgen Klopp looks to reshape his attacking options.

The preferred option for Benfica would be to cash in at the end of the season as they lead their bitter rivals Porto by four points in the Primeira League, and face Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the Champions League next month.

Liverpool are prepared to bid for Raul who the Portuguese giants value at around £22 million.
