St Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier is staying calm over increased transfer interest.

Over the past month, the experienced shot-stopper has been linked with Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool.

Asked about his plans, Ruffier told RMC: "(Laughter) The question, the right question ... In football, you never know. I re-signed at the beginning of the season, today I am Stephanois. Now, we know that during this period of mercato, a lot of things can happen.

"If I have any enquiries, I will reflect to see if, sportively, the offer that I receive from a club will be interesting or not for the rest of my career. Today, nothing is fixed, I want to finish the season well."
