Liverpool encouraged to bid for Roma striker Vucinic

Liverpool are interested in AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

The Montenegro international was speculatively linked with a move to Anfield in the closing stages of the last transfer window, with former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson thought to be keen on the player.

Kenny Dalglish's appointment as manager on Merseyside is not thought to have ended the interest of Liverpool in the player, although the club will have to wait until the summer if they wish to sign the €20 million rated player.

Corriere dello Sport says Roma are in need of cash, and will consider selling the player given the 'firm' interest from the Reds.
