Gareth Barry is ready to commit to Aston Villa if Liverpool cannot close his signing before next week's Premiership kickoff, it has been revealed.

The Times says Barry is eager to join Liverpool, but the England midfield player is becoming increasingly concerned about the amount of time the deal is taking, after Villa paved the way for the move last weekend, and he is not willing to wait much longer.
