Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has jokingly claimed that if he could keep playing like he did in the League Cup semi-final victory over Stoke City, he could end up at Real Madrid.

The Ivorian put in a battling display in the 1-0 win and one moment typified his performance when he dived headlong to stop the ball in his box and prevented a goal-scoring opportunity for the Potters.

When asked about his next destination once his Reds contract is up in the summer, Toure said: "If I can play like that then maybe I will go to Real Madrid!

"I don't know what I am going to do but I would like to stay in the Premier League playing football because I love it."
