Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson says Simon Mignolet has the squad's full support after his howler in defeat at Manchester City.

Johnson explained that while the Belgian stopper was disappointed with conceding in such a manner, his professionalism shone through in the dressing room afterwards.

"We haven't had to put an arm around him," said Johnson to the Liverpool Echo. "Simon has been fantastic for us all year.

"He's a strong lad - he's mentally tough. Everyone makes mistakes and he will bounce back."
