Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan reckons staying behind after training helped him to score in the Reds' 5-0 demolition of Tottenham on Sunday. "I always stay behind after training with a few of the lads to do some shooting practice," the 20 year old told the Liverpool Echo.
"I'd like to think it's something I can add to my game.
"First and foremost I need to concentrate on my defending as that's my main job.
"But as a full-back in the modern game, you also need to be able to get forward and pose a threat in the final third."
