Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admits coaching is in his plans once he hangs up his boots.
Carragher is in line for a new deal at Anfield when his deal runs out in 18 months and he wants to carry on playing until his mid-30s.
But he is already planning for the future and reckons he has too much energy to give up on the game when his legs forces him to retire.
He added: "I don't think I could just ride into the sunset and retire full stop. I'll have to do something. Sitting still is not me. I need to keep busy.
"That's why I've started my coaching badges in preparation. I'll probably do the A licence soon. I'm also thinking about doing media work during the World Cup to see if I enjoy it.
