Liverpool defender Carragher: I know England jeers are coming

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher knows England fans may boo him tomorrow night against Mexico.

Carragher insists he will not be fazed by England fans booing him at Wembley on Monday if Fabio Capello selects him for his first cap since he quit the national team three years ago.

Carragher, who wrote in his autobiography that he was 'never in love' with playing for England, said: "Better players than me have been booed by supporters. If it happens I won't have any problem with it because I know that if Liverpool had a player who left the club and came back three years later there would be some fans who wouldn't be happy with him. These things can take a bit of time so I will understand if the reaction at Wembley isn't that fantastic."
