Liverpool defender Dan Agger insists rumours of interest from Manchester City never unsettled him.

Agger penned a new deal with the Reds last month.

On City, Agger told Bold.dk: "It's never fun not knowing what to do, but I still had two years left on my contract. So it was not that I was unemployed. It was no problem.

"I feel that people in and around the club respect me and this is of course was an important factor (in re-signing)."
