According to the Liverpool Echo, Naby Keita is unlikely to arrive at Liverpool this season regardless of how RB Leipzig perform in the Champions League.
Keita reached an agreement with the German club during the summer to sign Keita next summer.
As Leipzig are currently not performing well in the Champions League, there have been recent reports suggesting that the Reds could sign him during the January transfer window.
However this move looks unlikely due to happen due to two factors. The Reds and Leipzig never agreed for such a deal to happen. Also bringing the player in in January is likely to involve an extra cost.
Keita was one of the revelations of the Bundesliga last season as he helped Leipzig secure a surprise second finish place in the League and qualify for the Champions League.
