Liverpool midfielder Lucas is pleased with his progress from knee surgery.

The Brazil international was ruled out for the season after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in the Carling Cup win over Chelsea in November.

"It's going well," he told Liverpool's official website. "The knee has responded very well after surgery.

"There's still a long way to go, but everything is going as planned and the doctors are very happy with my progress."
