Liverpool city council leader Warren Bradley today said Everton were told of the Bestway site two to three months ago.

He said: "The Everton board were made aware of the Bestway site as soon as we were made aware of it and we have always said we will endeavour to keep looking at sites in Liverpool and have also identified one in Aintree.

"Everton have never come to the table concerning this site.

"Is Keith Wyness willing to come to the table and talk about the site which Liverpool city council and Bestway are already discussing? "This site is a 12 to 13 acres site and Arsenal's Emirates stadium which is a much bigger foot-print is only an eight-acre site."
