Liverpool are being linked with Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Valdes is off contract in June and Manchester City are rated as favourites for his signature after Bosman talks with AS Monaco stalled earlier this month.

However, Sport says Liverpool have also made contact with Valdes' representatives.

Liverpool are preparing to sell Pepe Reina, now on-loan with Napoli, at the end of the season.
