Liverpool confirm no bid for Tottenham’s Defoe
Liverpool have made it clear that they will not make a late bid for Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.
There have been plenty of rumours this evening regarding the England international heading to Anfield but a Liverpool official has denied those claims.
"No, nothing in that, there is no bid for Jermaine Defoe,” the official told ESPN Soccernet.
Defoe was left out of the Spurs team for tonight’s meeting with Wigan Athletic sparking rumours that he could be on his way out but it appears unlikely that anything will occur.
