Liverpool are keeping tabs on Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott's situation.
The England international is expected to be made available by City for a knockdown £4 million and his experience would be welcomed by Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, who must cope with Jamie Carragher's looming retirement.
Lescott's former club Everton are also interested in re-signing the centre-half.
