AC Milan are battling Liverpool for wantaway Manchester City defender Micah Richards. The Sunday Mirror says Richards, 25, is expected to leave Manchester City after rejecting a new five-year deal earlier this season. It will bring to an end his 13-year association with the club he joined as a schoolboy in 2001.
Milan have sounded out the player's representatives about a switch to Serie A after getting a recommendation from his former City team-mate Mario Balotelli.
However, Liverpool still have Richards on their wish-list after a loan bid was rejected in January.
