Liverpool coach Gerrard: We're hoping Chelsea players are knackered

Liverpool coach Steven Gerrard admits they're at an advantage for tomorrow's clash with Chelsea.

Chelsea and the Reds have both been in Champions League action this week, though the Blues played a day later - and in Azerbaijan against Qarabag.

“I'm sure Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool players are hoping the travel has an effect and they're not as fresh as normal," Gerrard, Liverpool's U18 coach, said.

“But I think that all goes out of the window once it kicks off.

“It's a very tough game for Liverpool, it's a 50-50 game in my opinion. It's all set up for a cracker."
