Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard admits he's a massive fan of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

Before seeing him last night against Leicester City, the Reds coach conceded he's desperate for the Frenchman NOT to join Manchester United.

Speaking to BT Sport, Rio Ferdinand said: “He's [Gerrard] is devastated if he signs for United."

To which Gerrard replies: “Not half."

The presenter then asks Ferdinand: “You're Griezmann's agent where you going to put him?" before Gerrard quickly jokes “as far away from Manchester as you can find".

Gerrard admits he is one of the best players in the world.

He added: "I think he's one of the best players at finding space and hurting teams in between the lines.

"To see him with my own eyes tonight, I'm really looking forward to it."
