Liverpool coach Steven Gerrard slammed Arsenal's performance in defeat at Stoke City.

Gerrard was baffled by how some Gunners players failed to put a shift in.

“I thought the performance was typical Arsenal," Gerrard told BT Sport.

“They were fantastic in possession and created lot of chances, but were passive out of possession and there were not enough people who wanted to put their bodies on the line.

“There were not enough that wanted to the dirty work and run back and rescue difficult situations.

“It seems Arsenal have got too many technical players.

“They need a couple of players with steel that are willing to do the other side of game and break it up.

“Otherwise it will just look nice and they will just have more results and performances like this."
