Liverpool coach Clarke anxious to see Carroll, Suarez in tandem

Liverpool No2 Steve Clarke admits everyone is keen to see Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in partnership.

Carroll could make the squad for Sunday's clash with Manchester United.

On how much he's looking forward to seeing Suarez partnered by Andy Carroll when the latter regains full fitness, Clarke told liverpoolfc.tv: "Yes, if that's what the manager chooses to come up with - there's obviously other forward players.

"I thought David Ngog came into the game at the weekend and made a big impact. I thought he was good, and we've been using Dirk Kuyt as a striker, so there are other possibilities.

"Obviously the Carroll - Suarez one is something everyone's been talking about since the January window when we brought them both in, and it will be nice to see them as a partnership sometime in the future."
