Liverpool reserves boss Gary Ablett was pleased with the debut of new signing Vincent Weijl in their friendly draw with Stockport.

Ablett told liverpoolfc.tv of the former AZ Alkmaar striker: "Vincent did okay and he can be pleased with his part in our goal.

"He has got a lot to learn tactically but he looks a threat going forward and has got a good left foot."
