Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks was delighted with talks with manager Rafa Benitez after Tuesday night's Champions League semifinal.

Hicks met Benitez before the game and again yesterday and said: "I visited the manager at the training ground and we had a great meeting.

"The talks were really positive. He is happy and wants to talk about where he is taking the club in the future."
