Liverpool may have found their replacement for Loris Karius in goal for the coming season.
The Reds are being linked with a move for a top goalkeeper this summer. They were being touted as a destination for Brazil keeper Alisson, but those links appear to have cooled.
Now there are reports in the Mirror suggesting that Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is the one who the club may sign this summer.
Unlike Alisson, Strakosha is available for a much lower fee. He would cost the Reds in the region of £30 million.
The Albanian keeper has earned a very good reputation over the past couple seasons. He played in all 38 Serie A games for Lazio last season.
At 23, he is also the right age for Liverpool to invest in. If his signing is a success, he could be the top keeper at the club for nearly a decade.
Lazio do not want to lose him, but they may be willing to sell if they can sign Silvio Proto for a reasonable fee as a replacement.
