Liverpool close in on Barcelona keeper ter Stegen with Bogdan to leave on loan

Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of tabling a £20million bid for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The Sunday Mirror is reporting the Merseyside club are still eager to bring the German to Anfield, despite handing first choice shot-stopper Simon Mignolet a new five-year deal.

It is understood the Reds hope to complete the signing of ter Stegen before the January transfer window closes.

The former Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper is believed to be open to the idea of moving to the Premier League, having seen limited action with the Barcelona first team during his time at the Nou Camp.

Additionally, Adam Bogdan is desperate to end his time on Merseyside by going out on loan this month following a disastrous first half of the season since moving from Bolton in the summer.
