Liverpool are a step closer to landing Borussia Dortmund fullback Philipp Degen on a Bosman.
Dortmund have conceded defeat in their attempt to keep the Switzerland full back. The 25-year-old is expected to sign for Liverpool on July 1 after his contract with the German club expires.
