Liverpool chief Parry linked with FA job

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry is being linked with the FA's job.

The Daily Mail says Parry's days at Anfield are numbered, especially if Tom Hicks emerges victorious from the ownership battle. It is warring George Gillett who has so far blocked Hicks from sacking Parry.

Parry still has influential backers on the FA board but will have to persuade FA chairman Lord Triesman that he is a serious candidate after turning down the chief executive's role on the 2018 World Cup bid.
