Liverpool chief Damien Comolli remains interested in Atletico Madrid midfielder Diego.

Diego has been a target for Comolli since his time with Werder Bremen and is again tipped to be on the move this summer after a year with Atletico.

Diego is on-loan at Atletico from Wolfsburg and the Madrid club are expected to pass on the option of signing him permanently.

Comolli feels the Brazilian can offer the Reds midfield the craft they've been missing this season, especially against defensively-minded lower-ranked teams.
