Crystal Palace whizkid Jonathan Williams added to his reputation after inspiring his team to victory over Southampton last night.
Williams, wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool, had a hand in both goals as Crystal Palace reached the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup for the first time in seven years.
Darren Ambrose poked in the opening goal on 73 minutes after Williams had delivered an inch- perfect cross.
Jermaine Easter, who missed a host of chances earlier in the game, made it two from the penalty spot with eight minutes to go after midfielder Williams, 18, was brought down by Dan Harding.
Palace boss Dougie Freedman said: "Jonny has a fantastic attitude and he plays very cleverly. It is a matter of knowing when to put him in and pull him out of the senior team."
