Liverpool are interested in Sunderland winger Stephane Sessegnon.

The Daily Mail says Sessegnon has emerged as a shock target for Liverpool.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed in upturn in fortunes, along with the Black Cats as a whole, since the arrival of Martin O'Neill, but is struggling to adapt to life in England.

The £7million man is yet to move his wife and five children to the North East and has been linked with a switch back to France with Marseille or PSG, from whom he was signed a year ago.
