Liverpool are watching PSV Eindhoven winger Dries Mertens in preseason.

There's talk Mertens is already packing his bags for Merseyside, though Eindhoven Dagblad says no concrete Liverpool bid has arrived at PSV.

Mertens struck an impressive 21 goals in 33 games last season for PSV and is under consideration at Liverpool as a replacement for Dirk Kuyt, now of Fenerbahce.
