Liverpool have joined the interest in Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

The Daily Record says Liverpool and QPR want to lure the South Korea international to the Premier League.

Rubin Kazan, meanwhile, attempted to play down their interest last night with English clubs also keen on the 23-year-old.

Rubin spokesman Maksim Lupuchov said: "This has nothing to do with reality and they want to make the price of the player more expensive."
