Liverpool and Napoli are battling for Olympique Lyon fullback Aly Cissokho.
The France international is ready to leave Lyon this summer and test himself in a new competition.
Napoli are chasing Cissokho, but have learned from intermediaries that Liverpool are also in talks with Lyon and prepared to pay £7 million for his transfer.
