Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson says that a week-long trip Hong Kong has helped the players with their fitness levels ahead of the new season.
The Reds played two friendlies in the hot and humid conditions of the island, and Henderson has called the trip a success.
"It's difficult conditions, very humid, but it's good for us because it's pre-season and we've got to get fit," he told the club's website.
"We'll benefit from that when we go back home. It'll give us that bit of confidence with how hard we've worked here in these conditions.
"We go back home happy, but [there's] still a lot of hard work to do."
