Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has talked up his admiration for Mamadou Sakho.

The former PSG captain has established himself as a first-choice for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers since shaking off injury.

"He's a strong man. Since he arrived, he's done a good job. He chose to leave PSG and it was a big decision for him," Gerrard told Telefoot.

"The relationship he has with the PSG is a little like I have with Liverpool."
