Liverpool cannot rest on Carling Cup qualification says Kuyt

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has implored his teammates to kick on after last night's successful Carling Cup semi-final meeting with Manchester City.

The Reds drew 2-2 with City at Anfield to edge the Premier League leaders 3-2 on aggregate in the two-legged tie, putting them into the February 26 Cup final where they will meet Cardiff City at Wembley.

This weekend, things don't get any easier for Liverpool as they take on Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round, which Kuyt is well aware of.

"We can be happy about what we have achieved in reaching Wembley, but we have to put that aside because there's another massive game coming up on Saturday against Manchester United and it would be great to knock them out as well," he told the club's official website.

"I think we are used to playing every three days from when we were playing in Europe in the Champions League. We were playing big games every two days and that's what Liverpool Football Club should be about.

"It's great to have two great games in a week and, like I said, we are all focusing already on the next game and we're desperate to win it."
