Nathaniel Clyne believes that Liverpool can head into the League Cup final against Manchester City with a lot of confidence following their triumph over the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.
Liverpool prepare to square off against City in the final of the Capital One Cup at Wembley on Sunday and many believe that the Reds are underdogs heading into the clash.
However, defender Clyne is not fazed by the challenge and believes that Liverpool will be confident heading into the game following the 4-1 success not long after Jurgen Clop's arrival.
Clyne said: "That match was a really big game for us. The team were given their roles and we all did them well, pressing them high up the pitch, which they didn't like.
"They don't like players rattling around them. Quality players want time on the ball to hurt you and we didn't given them that. Hopefully we can do the same thing to them in the final.
"Teams are working out City definitely but I was surprised at how easily we took them apart.
"We didn't allow them to play their normal free-flowing game of pass and move, they made mistakes as a result, and we capitalised on those mistakes and turned them into goals."
