Liverpool can snap up Portsmouth kid Sam Magri for chump change

Liverpool trialist Sam Magri will see match action this week.

The Mirror says the Portsmouth defender, 17, is heading to Anfield for a week-long trial today after catching the eye of Kenny Dalglish.

The England under-17s skipper has been pencilled in for a run-out in Friday night’s reserve team derby with Everton.

And once the Reds have monitored his performance, they will arrange a fee with Pompey’s administrator Trevor Birch.
