Omer Toprak has revealed that he will be leaving Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
The German-born Turkey international is contracted at the BayArena until the summer of 2018 but will depart once the 2016/17 campaign is concluded.
Centre-back Toprak, 27, has been linked with both Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in recent times with either club expected to pay a €12 million release clause in order to land the player.
"I want to have a good and successful farewell here," Toprak told reporters in the mixed zone after Bayer's 1-0 win over Atletico Miner in the Florida Cup on Thursday.
"Like every year, I try to give it my all. I have been here for a very, very long time and my focus was solely on the training camp so that we can play our football and be successful in the second half of the season."
Toprak joined Leverkusen from SC Freiburg in 2011 and has since amassed 188 appearances with the North Rhine-Westphalia outfit.
