Liverpool are maintaining interest in Cagliari attacker Nicolo Barella.

The 21 year-old has been outstanding this season in a struggling Cagliari team and caught the eye of bigger clubs.

Juventus and Inter Milan have been linked with Barella, while local media sources have revealed Liverpool are also keen.

La Nuova Sardegna says the Reds and Borussia Dortmund have had scouts present for recent Cagliari games to run their eye over Barella.

The midfielder is tied to Cagliari until 2021, having spent his entire career with the Sardinians.
