Liverpool build new season marketing campaign around unsettled Torres, Gerrard

Liverpool management are showing no expectations of losing Steven Gerrard this summer.

The Daily Mail says Gerrard is still being heavily utilised by Liverpool to sell season tickets and shirts for the forthcoming campaign.

Liverpool fans received their season-ticket renewals in booklet form this week, with Gerrard's page one message giving the impression he will definitely be staying at Anfield.

He entices supporters to accept the eight per cent price hike by saying: "As captain, nothing would give me greater pleasure than to lift more silverware next season."

Gerrard also models the new white Liverpool away shirt being sold online - with the club remarkably confident, despite their search for fresh owners and a new manager, that their talismanic midfielder will honour the two years remaining on his contract.

The second most prominent Liverpool player in the booklet promotion is Spain striker Fernando Torres, who has also been strongly linked with a move away from Merseyside.
