Liverpool are chasing Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.Voetbal International says Liverpool have identified the Dutch World Cup star as their No1 target to replace Luis Suarez.
Suarez is expected to be sold to Barcelona and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers sees Huntelaar as his ideal successor.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also interested in Huntelaar, having been a long-term suitor.
However, it is Liverpool which are expected to close a deal for the striker once Suarez is sold.
Huntelaar was asked about the rumours yesterday: "For me, no one has informed my agent and I am not talking about the interest from clubs.
