Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers remains on the hunt for a new, versatile flanker.
Rodgers has plans to play Philippe Coutinho through the middle in his preferred No10 role. The Brazilian is currently being utilised in a wide position.
A new left winger is on the agenda for Rodgers, who did think long and hard about Manchester City midfielder Scott Sinclair, now with West Bromwich Albion.
He has also been linked with Blackpool winger Thomas Ince and Chelsea's Victor Moses.
